DIY Garden Tip

The Grass is always greener over there!

Now we’re in to Autumn we need to be thinking about the lawns. To help them recover after the dry summer, the first thing to do is keep the falling leaves from staying on the lawn for to long. weekly removal of the leaves and other rubbish will help provent moss growth and other pests attacking the grass.

Airing the lawn, use a fork or spike tool to let air get in to the lawn this helps with compacting and allows the rain to soak in to the lawn easier. If the lawn is very dry and compact any rain that does fall on it will run off and not go where it’s needed.
