DIY Garden Tip

The Grass is always greener over there!

Now we’re in to Autumn we need to be thinking about the lawns. To help them recover after the dry summer, the first thing to do is keep the falling leaves from staying on the lawn for to long. weekly removal of the leaves and other rubbish will help provent moss growth and other pests attacking the grass.

Airing the lawn, use a fork or spike tool to let air get in to the lawn this helps with compacting and allows the rain to soak in to the lawn easier. If the lawn is very dry and compact any rain that does fall on it will run off and not go where it’s needed.

If your lawns are in need of some TLC and you can’t or don’t want to do them yourself, then give us a call.

DIY before you do!

Let’s face it DIY is not every-ones cup of Rosy lea, If you want a job done well, call ya dad, but seriously if you have a job you don’t want to tackle or can’t tackle then call someone, if not us, then someone who someone you know as used before and can recommend. Never pay up front for materials or labour, unless you’re buying the materials for the job yourself from a supplier. Always ask the tradesmen for at least 3 people (names and telephone numbers) who have used his or their services before and check them out before agreeing to any work. Always ask for a quote ever an estimate, a quote is what the final price should be, an estimate is somewhere over there.

Till the next time Terrar a bit.
